Your data, kept light

We built VPGamers so you can just play. That means we collect very little. Here is exactly what we keep, why, and how you stay in control.

The short version

What we collect

Four things, no more. Playing a game on its own does not send us any personal data.

Source Data Why How long
Contact form Name or gamer tag, email, topic, message To read and answer your message Until the topic is closed, then deleted
Cookie choice The vpg_saveslot cookie with your choice So the cookie card does not pop up on every visit Up to 12 months
Server logs IP address, browser type, page asked for, time To keep the site safe and fix broken pages Short term, then removed
Spam check A score from a bot filter, if switched on To stop fake form posts Only while the form is checked

Who we are

VPGamers runs vpgamers.com, a free browser games site. In this policy, "we" and "us" mean VPGamers.

We are the controller for the personal data described here. That means we decide why and how it is used.

Why we are allowed to use it

We reply to messages because you asked us to. Keeping the site safe is our legitimate interest.

Optional cookies only run with your consent. You can change your mind at any time.

Who else sees it

We use hosting and form tools to run the site. They only process data on our behalf.

We may share data if the law requires it. We never share it for ads or marketing lists.

Younger players

Games are open to everyone. Still, please ask a parent before you send us a message if you are under 16.

If we learn that a child sent us data without consent, we delete it.

How we keep it safe

The site runs over HTTPS. Form data goes to a private store that the public cannot reach.

Only the people who answer messages can read them. No system is perfect, so we keep as little as we can.

When this policy changes

We may update this page when the site changes. The date at the top always shows the latest version.

Big changes get a clear note on the site before they apply.

Your rights, your call

Depending on where you live, you can ask us to do any of these. Asking is free. We may need to confirm it is really you first.
