Cookies, kept tiny

We keep cookies to the bare minimum. Here is what we set, why we set it and how to wipe it. Short read, promise.

The short version

What a cookie is

A cookie is a small text file a website saves in your browser. It lets the site remember one thing between visits. Think of it like a save slot in a game.

Some sites use cookies to track you across the web. We don't. Our pages set a single first-party cookie. First-party means it comes from vpgamers.com and nobody else.

Cookie we set

NamePurposeLastsType
vpg_saveslot Stores whether you picked Accept all or Reject all, so the banner stays hidden. Up to 365 days Needed, first-party

Our fonts and images load from our own server. They do not set cookies.

Change your mind in three moves

  1. Clear the cookie

Delete cookies for vpgamers.com in your browser. Your old choice goes with it.

  2. Reload any page

The save-slot banner pops up again in the bottom corner. Nothing else resets.

  3. Pick again

Choose Accept all or Reject all. Either way, the games play the same.

Block or clear cookies in your browser

You can block all cookies for any site. The menus move around between versions, so look for "cookies" or "site data" if the path below looks a little off.

Quick questions

Do I need cookies to play?

No. Every game loads and plays without our cookie. Without it, the banner just shows up again on your next visit.

What happens when I tap Reject all?

We save one small cookie that says you said no. That is the only way to stop the banner from asking again.

Do you sell data from cookies?

No. Our cookie holds your banner choice and nothing else. There is no data in it worth selling.

Will this page change?

It will if the site changes. If we ever add new cookies, we will list them here and update the date at the top.

Cookies sorted. Time to play.
